At Lighthouse Education, we work with well-experienced educators, and use a highly-rated curriculum, providing a strong and structured educational program, while still placing focus on the emotional and social growth of each child. While children are placed in age appropriate groups and work on their individual grade levels, they will also be a part of a cooperative learning group. Each child will be assisted on independent learning levels for extra support when needed. We do love working together and want to establish cooperation and social skills whenever possible, therefore we alternate between whole-group cooperative learning and individual learning when we can.

We have purposefully become a Private Education Association (PEA) so we may be free to choose what and how we educate our children. Being a PEA, we are able to choose the exact learning material, curriculum and environment available to our children, without the interference of any outside members. Our program is completely private, available ONLY to the MEMBERS of Guiding Lighthouse Ministries.

Our mission is to provide families with an alternate education option, focusing on the multitude of growth and development types of each child academically, independently, socially, and emotionally. We look to not only build and encourage a childs' academic career, but on their overall character and well-being as well. We believe children are the heart of our world and the promise of our future; nothing is more important than their experience during these core constructive years.

With our ever changing world, we seek to provide a consistent and constructive learning environment for children to enjoy as they grow. Our purpose is to protect the present and future lives of our families and their children by establishing safe environments for them to learn and engage with one another. We strive to encourage and guide each child as they become healthy, kind, intelligent and successful members of society, full of confidence and purpose, ready to take on the world.

We believe all children are a gift from God (Psalm 127:3) and should be looked after and cared for as such (Proverbs 31:8). Our motto is to "Love God and Love People" (Mark 12:31). Becoming a Faith Based Private Education Association (PEA) is our way of doing so: honoring our neighbors, children and families, as we work together to guide our precious children throughout their earliest years (Romans 12:10).

We do believe God made each of us in His own image (Genesis 1:27), making each child so wonderfully unique. This understanding is the foundation of our interactive, hands- on learning practices, working with each childs' individual strengths, skills and abilities, at their own pace. We believe positive self-esteem begins in the earliest stages of life, and find it essential to encourage each child’s individual qualities so they may build confidence in who they innately are, without any burden or pressure of measuring up to anyone else.
